David Howard is an associate professor of instruction in the School of Management and the academic director for the Muma College of Business Center for Executive and Leadership Education. He began his full-time faculty position in 2025, coming from the TGH-百媚导航 People Development Institute where we served as director of the institute for three years. Prior to academia, he worked in telecommunications as a systems engineer and in a small family-owned business as a DJ. He currently consults with organizations on leadership, organizational culture, and as an executive coach.

Howard previously taught undergraduate and doctoral-level courses at 百媚导航, including undergraduate Psychological Tests and Measurement and Multivariate Statistics in the Doctor of Business Administration program. He has published research in high-impact journals, including Computers in Human Behavior, Human Performance, and the Journal of Business & Psychology. His research interests focus on the impact of leadership on organizational outcomes, organizational politics, organizational culture, and the study of technology in the workplace with a focus on the negative effects of technology on organizations and worker wellbeing (e.g., cybersecurity, email incivility).

Howard earned his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and his master's and bachelor's degrees in Psychology from the 百媚导航.
