School of Aging Studies alumna Karen L. Phillips, PhD, returned to ĵ to present "Advancing Healthy Aging Through Partnerships and Collaboration" as part of the School of Aging Studies and the Florida Policy Exchange Center on Aging Distinguished Alumni Lecture series.
Phillips, a 2009 graduate of the Aging Studies doctoral program at ĵ, is now the policy development manager at Trust for America's Health, where she works on the Age-Friendly Public Health Systems initiative. Her project focuses on making healthy aging a priority in the field of public health.
Following Phillips' presentation, School of Aging Studies Interim Director Debra Dobbs, PhD, and Professor Emeritus David Chiriboga, PhD, presented Phillips with a plaque of appreciation from the School of Aging Studies for her outstanding leadership and scholarship benefiting older adults.
