Charlotte Purcell King earns ANCDS board certification

Charlotte Purcell King

Charlotte Purcell King has experience in the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, with a broad focus on adult neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders and primary interests in treating individuals with aphasia, motor speech disorders, and voice disorders.

Charlotte Purcell King, SLPD, CCC-SLP, BC-ANCDS, assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, has earned board certification from the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences (ANCDS). This certification formally recognizes clinical expertise in neurogenic communication disorders and indicates that the recipient possesses advanced knowledge and skills beyond those acquired through basic professional certification and licensure.

To achieve board certification through ANCDS, candidates must submit written case studies and lead an oral presentation and discussion of the cases. ANCDS is a non-profit professional association that supports practitioners who serve individuals with neurologic communication disorders by providing education, training, and certification opportunities to promote high-quality professional service.
