The treatment tested use of an antibiotic known under the brand name听Dalvance as a possible alternative to antibiotics that must be administered intravenously. The drug shows promise in fighting Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, the leading cause of death by bloodstream infections worldwide.

Tampa General Hospital has been ranked the No. 1 hospital in Tampa Bay for the 10th consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025-2026 Best Hospitals rankings. TGH also earned national Top 50 recognition in six specialties 鈥� all led or co-led by 百媚导航 Health faculty 鈥� including OB-GYN, which rose to No. 5 in the nation and remains Florida鈥檚 top-ranked program.

百媚导航 Health Morsani College of Medicine and Tampa General Hospital will launch a new medical residency training program in anesthesiology. Residents in the four-year program will work at Tampa General Hospital and other TGH locations throughout the Tampa Bay region and be trained by 百媚导航 Health faculty.
